Alexis is a licensed professional clinical counselor, trained to treat a wide range of mental health disorders. Alexis earned her master's degree in counselor education from The Ohio State University. Before joining Providers for Healthy Living, Alexis worked in an outpatient practice, where she provided individual therapy for adults suffering from serious medical and mental health disorders. Alexis has also worked in community mental health as well as at NetCare Access where she conducted assessments and provided crisis intervention. Alexis has specialized training in Dancing Mindfulness, and is certified as a facilitator. Alexis's clinical strengths include providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Compassion Therapy, EMDR, and Expressive Therapies to address trauma, alcohol and/or drug use, and issues related to the LGBTQ community.
